San Francisco extended weekend Itinerary

San Francisco

GATR Itin Banner _San Francisco 2017-01

May 26, 2017 to May 30, 2017

Our Auntie from Australia came to visit last month and for once she had a request. She wanted to see go to “the snoopy museum” aka The Charles M. Schulz Museum in Santa Rosa, CA. We made it a family road trip during Memorial Day weekend; 2 days on the road and 3 full days in San Francisco.

We packed in as much of the San Francisco touristy things as we could since it has been quite a few years since the last time any of us have really explored San Francisco.

Day 0: Leaving Home

We got off work a little early and left San Diego at 3pm. It was probably not the best time to leave, but I think we were all a little anxious to get on the road. It took us 10 hours to get to San Francisco from San Diego with a couple gas stops and dinner at In n Out. It was Aunties first In n Out visit despite visiting every 3-4 years from Australia.

  • Pick up rental van
  • Dinner at In n Out (Tejon)
  • Arrive at InterContinental Mark Hopkins San Francisco

Day 1: First Full Day in San Francisco

Explore the city via public transportation (cable car, street car, etc.)
