South Korea Beauty Product Shopping (Wish) List

Before going to South Korea, I tried to do a little bit of research by finding out more about the myriad of South Korean cosmetic brands etc. but after arriving (and stepping foot into Myeongdong) my research did not feel sufficient. There are just too many different brands and too many products from each. I came home with a suitcase full of new things and yet there are things I wish I got and things I just want more of! Read more for my list!

LOCO Curry: 로코커리 – Garosugil

After turning onto the gingko tree lined street of Garosugil we stopped for lunch before our vigorous hike stroll through Garosugil — I mean our shopping trip. Check out my previous post about Gangnam and Garosugil.

Parking in Plate: Unique Italian in Seoul 파킹인플레이트 – Myeongdong

After a long morning of shopping in Myeongdong, we were ready for lunch. Having been in South Korea for over a week I was ready for something different. We asked one of the tourist help people for pizza and pasta and they recommended Pizza in Plate. Where (Phone Number and Address): 070-8828-8253 8 Way 21-5 […]

Kopitiam: Singapore Toast Cafe in Seoul

I studied abroad in Singapore for a year and I came back with a love for Singaporean cuisine. Being in San Diego, I honestly don’t get my fix of Singaporean food (ever). Does anyone know where I can go in Southern California? Anyways, being in Asia (I know, it’s a big continent but I’m getting a […]

Hello Kitty Cafe: Hongdae

We went to the hongdae outlet, but there are several in located in Seoul and in other major South Korean cities. We walked by the another Hello Kitty Cafe in Samcheong-dong but it wasn’t opened at that time (I think that location was cuter).

Cafes and Coffee Shops are Everywhere in South Korea

There is definitely no shortage of coffee in South Korea. There are many areas in Seoul that are known for having streets lined with cute and unique coffee shops / cafes; like Garosugil and Hongdae. I actually considered spending a whole day going to coffee shop/cafe hopping because there were so many I wanted to […]

Fresh Seafood at Noryangjin Fish Market 노량진수산시장

Getting there: LINE 1 Noryangjin Exit 1 (Walk 100m over the bridge) Noryangjin Fish Market is the largest wholesale and retail seafood market in Seoul and is definitely a place teeming with tourists. The market is opened 24 hours, with wholesale auctions starting early in the morning and fresh seafood ready to be served at […]

Hangang (Han River) Parks

I love watching Korean dramas (and TV shows) and one impression of Seoul that I get from watching these shows is that the Hangang (gang=river) is the place to go to meet people, for a romantic date, just be sad (basically it’s where everyone goes for everything). With that in mind, we decided that we […]

Marugame Udon 丸亀製麺 마루가메 제면 – Hongdae

Is it sad to say that we had been in South Korea for over a week and a half and never stayed out past 9pm? I’m serious! We wake us early (at first because of the jet lag) and just get tired relatively early every night. With only a couple days left in Seoul, we […]

Gangnam Style: Garosugil – Shopping, Coffee, and Ice Cream

What trip to South Korea is complete with out making our way to Gangnam (after the famous Gangnam Style)? Well, with that said we made out way there. There are several places to go to when you say you’re heading to Gangnam and it all depends on what you are looking for. It may not […]
