Chinatown Boston Food: Gourmet Dumpling House

Gourmet Dumpling House We went back to Chinatown before leaving Boston, and decided that we were going to brave the long line outside of this restaurant. We were very curious about this place because there was always quite a crowd outside waiting. We ended up waiting about half an hour for a table and it […]

Acorn Street: The Most Photographed Part of Boston

Whenever I travel, I try to look for post cards (and some time to send a few post cards home) and apart from the usual Boston skyline postcard pictures I kept seeing pictures of Acorn Street. And there was a post card I really wanted to get, but why would I get it if I’ve […]

Spring in Boston: Boston Public Garden and Tulips Around Town

Summer is just around the corner and it’s starting to heat up here in San Diego. I miss the perfect spring weather we enjoyed in Boston last month. I know I’m spoiled when it comes to weather. San Diego is dubbed “the finest city” with some pretty amazing weather all year long (except for the […]

New England Holocaust Memorial Boston

I stumbled upon this powerful and beautiful New England Holocaust Memorial when we got a little sidetracked looking for the Freedom Trial. This is actually on the Freedom Trail (though not part of it), but if continued on this route, we would have been going in the opposite direction from the trail we decided to go on.

The Freedom Trail: from Faneuil Hall to Boston Common

The Freedom trail is 2.5 mile walking route that goes through downtown Boston, leading you to 16 historical sites sprinkled throughout Boston. We did not walk the full route, we started at Faneuil Hall (Quincy Market) and made our way through downtown Boston to the Boston Common.

Lobster Rolls and Clam Chowder in Boston

When I think of food in Boston, I immediately think of Lobster Rolls and Clam Chowder. During our short weekend trip to Boston I made a point to make sure we a chance (or two) to have some. Before our trip, I looked up where some of the best places to go and tried to include them into my itinerary. We ended up going to Legal Sea Foods, Boston Chowda, and Boston & Main Fish Company.

3-2-1 Connect: The Westin Copley Place, Malls, and Enterprise Car Rental

3-2-1 Connect is part of Boston’s Back Bay Meeting Destination that connects three hotels (The Westin Copley Place, Boston Marriott Copley Place, and Sheraton Boston Hotel), two shopping centers (Copley Place Shopping Galleries, and The Shops at Prudential Center), and one Convention Center. Though in my case, I’m counting one as my one car rental since I didn’t quite make it to the convention center.

Flour Bakery and Cafe Back Bay Boston

I don’t know if you know this yet but I love breakfast! Ok, now that that’s out of my system I searched on yelp to find a good place for breakfast near my hotel in the Back Bay. After a little bit of searching and research I found Flour Bakery and Cafe. They have several locations […]

Chinatown Boston Food: Penang Malaysian Cuisine

I flew out to the Boston for my sisters graduation (her school is in New Hampshire, but Boston is close). We made a weekend trip out of it flying to Boston from San Diego on Friday and leaving Sunday. We didn’t plan to go to Chinatown until Sunday but our flight happened to arrive earlier […]
